The James Preston Poindexter Foundation (JPPF), was founded in 2014 to ensure the preservation of Poindexter Village. It is the culmination of over a decade of effort from the community including former residents, preservationists, historians, activists and other partners working together to create a museum and cultural center. The James Preston Poindexter Foundation does its work through its committees, advocates, and volunteers.
To create an appreciation for the lifestyle and material culture of African American community in historic Poindexter Village in Central Ohio in the 20th century.
